Antiferromagnetic Parametric Resonance Driven by Voltage-Controlled Magnetic Anisotropy

چکیده
Voltage-controlled magnetic anisotropy (VCMA) is a low-energy alternative to manipulate the ferromagnetic state, which has been recently also considered in antiferromagnets (AFMs). Here, we theoretically demonstrate that VCMA can be used excite linear and parametric resonant modes easy-axis AFMs with perpendicular anisotropy, thus opening way for an efficient electrical control of N\'eel vector detection high-frequency dynamics. Our work leads two key results: (i) pumping experiences so-called ``exchange enhancement'' coupling efficiency and, thus, 1--2 orders magnitude more than microwave fields or spin-orbit torques, (ii) it allows zero-field resonance, cannot achieved by other mechanisms out-of-plane easy axis. Therefore, most promising method coherent excitation manipulation AFM order AFMs.

Cosmological Magnetic Fields by Parametric Resonance?
We investigate the possibility that electromagnetic fluctuations are amplified in expanding universe by parametric resonance, during the oscillatory regime of a scalar field to which they are coupled. We consider scalar electrodynamics and we find that electromagnetic fluctuations undergo exponential instabilities. This mechanism could have some relevance for the problem of large scale primordi...

The voltage-controlled magnetic anisotropy (VCMA) effect, which manifests itself as variation of anisotropy of a thin layer of a conductive ferromagnet on a dielectric substrate under the influence of an external electric voltage, can be used for the development of novel information storage and signal processing devices with low power consumption. Here it is demonstrated by micromagnetic simula...

Introduction. For nonlinear field theory models in 1+1–dimensional space–time the equations of motion admit finite energy and finite width solutions called solitons [1]. The interest in such low-dimensional sine– Gordon (SG) models as an universal concept in nonlinear science arises from their integrability, duality properties, non-perturbative aspects, and electric-magnetic duality in gauge th...
